On behalf of our family, we want to extend our deepest condolences to Christina and the family. Though we never had a chance to meet the rest of the family, George was a big part of our family because he taught our son Landon to play guitar. His influence, kindness, vision for music, and skill as an instructor came at a crucial time in our son's life. We will be forever grateful to God for George. We always loved going to the Jazz festivals and hearing George. He will be missed but his influence will live on in the lives he touched. This is not the end of his song, just the end of a measure.

Dear Family of George Ogg, I heard the tribute for George on NPR radio today. It took me back over 40 some years ago to a George Ogg who sat next to me at Harrison Hill School. I remember times that we laughed and talked about all kinds of school related things. I remember he had a funny giggle to him-way back then...He was a quiet, shy boy but was interesting to listen to-when you could get him to talk. I never knew that he played the guitar so well, but it doesn't surprise me. He seemed like the kind of person that would humbly and quietly excel at whatever passion he chose. And I guess he did.. I'm sure that I am not saying anything new to you-all, that have known him for much longer. My prayers and thoughts are with his family and friends. All I can say is-talk of him, listen to his music, enjoy all that he gave to this earth, and his light remains with you to comfort you. Becky (Smith) Kindel

I will miss George. His easy laugh and the way he shared his gift of music with me. We did some songs together and were gonna make a CD when he took a turn bad last year. I cherish every moment that I spent with him.

I always admired the fact that George was such an unbelievable talent matched with such a humble soul. I always had to tell myself to relax when George and Christina came to see The Answer Band because it could be a bit intimidating with one of the greatest guitar players in the Midwest watching you play. Of course one conversation with George and you felt his support as a fellow musician. Jeff Myers

George was an unbelievable performer. We had the good fortune to hear him play on many occasions. He was truly special. Even more so, he was just one of those guys who was very, very nice to all who came into contact with him. He had an amazing heart. The worlds loss is Heavens gain. We will miss you George.
