C. PHILIP ANDORFER

C. PHILIP ANDORFER, 80, passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2015, at Saint Anne Home & Retirement Community, Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, Phil was a partner at Leonard J. Andorfer & Co. for 58 years. Phil was an R.O.T.C graduate from Loyola University and was active duty in the Army at Fort Benning, Ga. and Fort Leonard Wood, Mo. He was also a past member of the Fort Wayne Park Board from 1978 to 1992 serving as Vice President from 1980 to 1988 and President from 1988 to 1992. In addition to multiple other memberships, he served on the board of the Allen County Public Library from 1987 to 2002, including President in 1992 and 1997. Surviving are his wife, Theresa "Terry" Andorfer of Fort Wayne; son, Robert M. (Corina) Andorfer of E. Lansing, Mich.; daughter, Christine M. Ward of Indianapolis, Ind.; son, Mark J. (Jenny) Andorfer of Fort Wayne; daughter, Denise M. Andorfer of Fort Wayne; daughter-in-law, Matilde Andorfer of Tempe, Ariz.; 16 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and sister, Kathy Kemle. He was preceded in death by his father, Leonard J. Andorfer; mother, Blanche M. Andorfer; son, Gary P. Andorfer; brothers, B. William Andorfer, Stephen L. Andorfer and Paul E. Andorfer; and sister, Lois E. Funk. Mass of Christian Burial is 1:30 p.m. Friday, June 5, 2015, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, with calling one hour prior. Msgr John Suelzer officiating. Calling also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 4, 2015, at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave., with Rosary beginning at 3:45 p.m. Burial in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
