EARL R. MOSER

EARL R. MOSER, 98, passed away Friday, April 15, 2011, at Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, he worked as an Accountant with Franklin National Life for 14 years, retiring in March 31, 1983. He was also a former employee of U.S. Rubber and Fort Wayne City Utilities. He was a member and ordained Deacon at Salem United Church of Christ; Wayne Masonic Lodge; Scottish Rite 32, past Noble Grand for Odd Fellows, president of Anthony Wayne Toastmasters, National Association of Accountants, Decorated U.S. Army World War II Veteran, receiving 5 Bronze Stars. He is survived by his children, Sharon (Max) Johnson of Fort Wayne, Ralph Moser of New Haven, Norman (Jane) Moser of Lima, OH, and Edward Moser of Fort Wayne; sister, Vera Tracey of Kokomo; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Emma Moser; wife, Iva B. Moser. Service is 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, 2011, at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave., with Pastor Michael Smith officiating. Calling is from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, April 19th at the funeral home, with Masonic service at 7 p.m. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens.
