Joseph John Royal

JOSEPH JOHN ROYAL, 39, of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., went to be with his mother Sunday, Jan. 25, 2009, in Ft. Lauderdale. Born May 10, 1969, in Fort Wayne, he served with the 122nd Air Guard and worked with Air-Continental Airlines and Gulf-stream International Airlines. He attended Arcola School, Carroll High School, Arcola, and was a member of the Boy Scouts. Surviving are the mother of his children, Leslie (Powell) Royal of Texas; father, John C. Royal and friend, Mary Burnett of Fort Wayne; children, Brandon and Martin Royal, both of Texas; aunts and uncles, Ann Carteaux and Lucy (James) Monnier of Fort Wayne, Rita (Mel) Smalley of Florida, Tom (Lorie) Nieb of Denver, Colo., Melvin (Bonnie) Royal of Fort Wayne, and Eldred (Mary) Royal of Michigan; and special friend, Robert Venagas of Ft. Lauderdale. He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret M. on Nov. 10, 1992. No service.
