ALEX JAMES TRABERT, 23, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012. Born March 24, 1989, in Columbia City, he was a son of Walter Richard and Carla Jeanne (Coon rod) Trabert Jr. A 2007 graduate of Columbia City High School, he was an avid BMX bike rider; an artist; worked for Numerix Tooling and Elwood Staffing; and was a member of Whitley County 4-H and St. Catherine's Catholic Church, Columbia City. Also surviving are brothers, Jason, Bryan, and Eric; and grandparents, Walter and Julia Trabert Sr. and Gilbert L. Coonrod. He joins his grandmother, RuthAnn (Mourey) Coonrod in watching over his family and friends. "A beautiful life that came to an end, he died as he lived, everyone's friend. In our hearts a memory will always be kept, of one we loved, and will never forget." Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Friday at St. Catherine's Catholic Church, Nix Settlement, SR 9 1000 S, Columbia City.
