ARLO G. DOUGLAS, 94, of Fort Wayne, died on Friday, Sept. 23, 2011, at Lutheran Hospital. Born Dec. 26, 1916, in St. Joe, Ind., he was the son of Lloyd Douglas and Elizabeth (Betts). He was a conductor with Conrail, retiring after 40 years of service in 1980. Surviving are his daughter, Judy K. Douglas Witmer of Fort Wayne; two grandsons, Matthew L. Witmer of California and Christopher L. Witmer of Washington State; and five grandchildren, Geneva, Capri, Chace, McKay, and Lance. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy; and daughter, Connie Sue Douglas. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Monday at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services, 2403 E. Wallen Road, with calling one hour prior. The Rev. T.R. Taykowski officiating. Entombment in Highland Park Cemetery. Preferred memorials to Cancer Services of Northeastern Indiana.
