BARBARA D. MOTZ, 93, of Fort Wayne, died on Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012, at Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home. Born Aug. 1, 1919, in Fort Wayne, she was a daughter of the late Delbert E. Manes and Bessie L. (Flick inger). She retired from J.C. Penney where she was a seamstress. She was a member of Daughters of the American Revolution. Surviving are her husband, George W. Motz of Fort Wayne; daughters, Nancy (Donald) Greenstien of Galveston Bay, Texas, Linda Kay (Larry) Baker of Pearland, Texas and Jennifer Lee Gray of Fort Wayne; sisters, Jane VanHoozen and Mary Lou Jackson, both of Fort Wayne; brothers, David W. Manes of Nashville, Tenn. and Walter Manes of Fort Wayne; four grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 17, 2012, at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, Winchester Road Chapel, 6424 Winchester Road, with calling one hour prior. Pastor Debra Mewter officiating. Calling also from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012, at the funeral home. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Preferred memorials to Gethsemane Lutheran Church or Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home.
