BERNARD E. "BEANIE" "MAIN MAN" DILLON, 83, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012. Born in Paris, Ill., he work ed as a shipping superintendent with Wabash Fiber Box for 35 years, retiring in 1991. He was a member of American Legion Post 777 and was a U.S. Navy Korean War veteran. He enjoyed golfing, leather crafting and gardening. Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Barbara Hamilton Dillon; children, Deborah (Delmer) Helvie, Mark Dillon, Greg (Jeanette) Dillon, Phillip (Cheryl) Dillon, Christina (Chris) Roffelsen, all of Fort Wayne, Paul (Nanette) Dillon of Salisbury, N.C., and Ann Albright of San Diego, Calif.; brothers, John (Lili) Dillon of Saratoga, Calif., Richard (Patty) Dillon of McCordsville, Ind. Larry (Helen) Dillon of Pleasanton, Calif., and Leo (Norma) Dillon of Indianapolis; 17 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Mary Ellen Dillon. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 4500 S. Fairfield Ave., with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at D.O.
