BERYL J. PALUMBO, 84, passed away on Monday, Oct. 22, 2012, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, in Fort Wayne, Ind. Born in Auburn, Ind., Beryl was a school teacher and home maker. She was a member of St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church, St. Vincent's Rosary Sodality and the Cedar Creek Women's Club. Surviving are her husband of 60 years, Vito Palumbo; son, Steven (Karen) Palumbo of Auburn, Ind.; daughters, Diana (Tim) Rupley of Fort Wayne, Deborah (Dean) Russ of Leo, Ind., Karen (Steve) Woodrum and Susan (Tom) Bender, both of Fort Wayne; 17 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and stepbrother, George Anderson of Auburn, Ind. Beryl was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Widdicombe and Ruth Anderson; and brother, Robert Widdicombe. Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012, at St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church, with calling one hour prior. Msgr. John M. Kuzmich officiating. Calling also from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26, 2012, at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road, with a Vigil at 7:30 p.m. Entombment in Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
