BONNITA L. (DRISCOLL) AUSTIN, 88, passed away on the evening of Monday, May 6, 2013, in Omaha, Neb. Born July 10, 1924, in Payne, Ohio, she lived in Fort Wayne for many years and spent the last seven years with her daughter in Omaha, Neb. She attended New Haven High School class of 1942. She loved crossword puzzles and flowers. Surviving are her brother, Marion Driscoll of Fort Wayne; sons, Shel (Mhel) Aislinn of Las Vegas, Nev., Raymond Thomas of Arizona and Stanley Thomas of Indianapolis; stepsons, Ed (Betty) Steger of Fort Wayne and Ralph Austin Jr. of Haskell, Okla.; daughters, Vicki (Kevin) Rich of Omaha, Neb. and Wendy (Shawn) Pihajlic of Strasburg, Colo.; 33 grandchildren; 59 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by parents, Melville and Linnie Driscoll; husbands, Frederick W. Steger and Ralph Austin; son, Calvin K. Thomas; eight sisters; and two brothers. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Monday, May 13, 2013, at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Winchester Road Chapel, 6424 Winchester Road. Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, May 12, 2013, at the funeral home.
