BRIAN D. DOEHLA, 53, passed away Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012 surrounded by his family at home. Born in Fort Wayne, he worked at Brooks Construction and was a member of Laborers Local 213 and the St. Joe Club. He enjoyed coaching Little League, sports, travel, fishing, and spending time with his family and friends at the lake. "He was adventurous, fearless and selfless. Brian was a joy to be around, putting a smile on everyone's face. He was an amazing husband, father and friend. We will never forget his playfulness and he will forever be remembered for his thoughtfulness and generosity." Surviving are his wife, Sarah Doehla; sons, Zachary (Paige) Doehla of Springfield, Ill. and Kyle Doehla of Carmel, Ind.; daughters, Meghan (Ryan) Fahler of Fort Wayne and Kathleen Doehla of Chicago, Ill.; granddaughters, Brynn and Blake Doehla; mother, Martha Flaig of Fort Wayne; stepfather, Donald Doehla of Fort Wayne; brother, George Doehla of Bloomington, Ind.; sisters, Karen Hale and Debra Stansbury both of Fort Wayne; and his four-legged children, Lucy and Cooper. He was preceded in death by his father, Floyd Flaig and stepmother, Loretta Doehla. Memorial service is 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 24, 2012 at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, 2012 at the funeral home.
