CAROL LEE (KISSINGER) PATTEN, 79, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012, at Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home. Born in Butler, Ind., she was a daughter of the late Paul and Ethel Kissinger. She lived in Wayne dale for 34 years. She was a homemaker for several years while her family grew. Being a home room mother for her three boys at Waynedale Elementary was something she enjoyed. She worked for GE and Sears, and as a secretary at Portage Jr. High School before retiring as a manager at KC Mosier Company. She and her husband, Richard "Dick" moved to Springhill Florida in 1985 before coming back to Fort Wayne in 1998, after her husbands passing. Surviving are her sons, Michael (Linda) Patten and Mark (Deena) Patten, both of Fort Wayne, Brian (partner, Mark McClanahan) Patten of Seminole, Fla.; granddaughter, Lindsay (Ryan) Weil of Atlanta, Ga.; brother-in-law, James (Carol) Patten of Roanoke; and sister-in-law, Betty (Robert) Baker of Roanoke. Service is 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012, at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road, with calling one hour prior. Dr Kathleen Haller officiating. Calling also from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 21, 2012, at the funeral home. Burial in Butler Cemetery, Butler, Ind. Memorials may be made to Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home or Allen County S.P.C.A.
