CAROLYN J. DOSWELL, 89, of Paw Paw, Mich., died on Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, in Kalamazoo, Mich. Born March 19, 1923, in Fort Wayne, she was a daughter of Elva and Ernest Emrich. Surviving are two children, Becky (Keith) Rife of Paw Paw and David Doswell of Fort Wayne; seven grandchildren, Elizabeth Anne, Maureen, Allison, Shannon, Matt, Tony, and Drew; two great-grandchildren, Zerrik and Zayne; twin sister, Marilyn Russell of Florida; two "adopted" daughters, Kazue Larson of Japan and Marilda Cavalcanti of Brazil; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold "Jerry" Doswell; son, James; and sister, Bonnie. She lived in Sun City West, Ariz. for 26 years before moving to Paw Paw where she had resided since 2008. She was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church (North Highlands Presbyterian Church). She loved designing and making silver jewelry, painting, sewing, reading and traveling. Memorial service is 4 p.m. Sunday at Grace Presbyterian Church, Fort Wayne, with calling from 3 to 4 p.m. Hal Thomas officiating. Graveside service is 10 a.m. Monday at Lindenwood Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Memorial contributions may be made to the Southwest Michigan Artists' Association, 202 E. Michigan, Paw Paw, Ml 49079.
