CHARLES E. ANDERSON, 86, of North Manchester, died on Sunday, March 10, 2013, 2:55 p.m., at Tim bercrest Senior Living Community. Born Monday, Sept. 16, 2013, in Hanover, Penn., he was the son of Bruce Anderson and Vergie (Wolf). He attended Manchester College, Juniata College and Bethany Theological Seminary. He was a self-employed Real Estate Broker; worked at Mutual Security Life Insurance Company; and worked with Habitat for Humanity, Center for Non-Violence and Matthew 25 Medical and Dental Clinic. He served on the Board of SERVAS International. He was a member of Beacon Heights Church of the Brethren and The Fellowship of Reconciliation. Surviving are his wife, Wilma Anderson of North Manchester; sons, Larry (Ann) Anderson of Richmond, Ind. and Keith (Theresa) Anderson of Hartville, Mo.; daughter, Donna Anderson of Sedona, Ariz.; sister, Evelyn Bishop of Glenville, Penn.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Bruce Anderson; and sister, Katherine Harbold. Funeral service is 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at Beacon Heights Church of the Brethren. Pastor Brian Flory officiating. Burial in Lindenwood Cemetery. Preferred memorials to Matthew 25 Medical and Dental Clinic; Center for Non-Violence; or Habitat for Humanity, Fort Wayne.
