CHARLES M. HANNEMAN, 71, of Avilla, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 19, 2011, 4:46 p.m., after a long battle with Parkinson's disease. Born Jan. 16, 1940, he was the son of the late Charles William and Dorothy (McClintic) Hanneman. He married Dorothy "Dottie" Zuber on June 12, 1971, in Fort Wayne. He was a retired employee of Olan Mills. He served on the Allen County Council in the late 1970's and held a position in the Indiana House for 12 years. Charles and his wife were the founders of a non-profit organization, the Four Season's Foundation. Surviving are two brothers, Timothy Hanneman and Donald Littlejohn; stepfather, Norman Littlejohn; stepsons, Richard Zuber Jr. and Douglas Zuber; three stepdaughters, Debbie Larson, Denise Tadeo and Dawn Zuber; seven stepgrandchildren; 11 step-great-grandchildren; and his caregiver, Trenda Krill. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Dottie; a sister, Patricia Lyon; his loving partner of five years, Patricia Zimmerman; a step daughter-in-law, Pamela Zuber; and a step-grandson, Adam Tadeo. A Celebration of Life service is 4 p.m. Friday, March 11, 2011 with calling from 2:30 p.m. until time of service at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services, Highland Park Cemetery Chapel, 2403 East Wallen Road, Fort Wayne. Preferred memorials to Riley Hospital Fort Children or Special Olympics - Indiana.
