CHESTER B. ALLEN, 90, passed away Thursday, Sept. 5, 2013 at Parkview Hospital. Born in Pittsburg, Texas, he moved to Fort Wayne in 1943. He was a World War II Army Air Force veteran and a long time active member of Pilgrim Baptist Church. He retired from Freuhauf Trailer Co. after 37 years of service and was currently employed by Indiana Auto Auction. Surviving are his children, John S. (Thelma Russell) Dixie, Carolyn (Richard) Bryant of Las Vegas, Nev., Phillip Clancy, Estella (Robert) Paschall, and Kevin (Edna) Clancy; sister, Zelma (Charles) Davis of Leesburg, Texas; brother, Roy L. Allen; special cousin, Rosemary Mosley; along with a host of grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Service is 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013 at Pilgrim Baptist Church, with calling two hours prior to service. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Ellis Funeral Home.
