I hearts are broken...We love all three of the sisters and had a small amount of time to get to know them. In doing so we spent some time with COURTNEY over the summer a few years ago. She lit up the room when she walked in. She had a smile that pierced your heart. Courtney
made us laugh, giggle and has a special place in our hearts. We all should consider ourselves Blessed to have Courtney in our lives..Even though only for a short time. My heart and prayers are with Sabrina,Kelsey,Corina and family.

I had the special privilege of having Courtney in my 4th and 5th grade class at Lindley. I will always remember her sparkling eyes, her bright smile, and her inquisitive nature. She had a spirit and a creative imagination that I will always remember. She shared herself openly with me through her writing, poetry, and stories. Courtney taught me so much in our two years together and I will always have a special place in my heart reserved only for her. She touched the lives of so many people and will forever be remembered in our hearts and memories. Please know that I am praying for your family as you go through this difficult time.

From a loving mother in Columbia City who has lost a little one, I send my prayers to your family. My heart truly breaks for you and for what you are going through although you must remind yourselves that heaven must have needed a beautiful new angel.

Courtney has had a special place in my heart since I had her in class in second grade. I am so thankful to have two years of memories of teaching her bright, sparkling, beautiful smile! Even after she was no longer in my class, I always looked forward to seeing her each day in the hallways at Lindley. She was never just a former student to me after she moved onto fourth grade...she was always and will always be someone whom I have a special place for in my heart. Due to the loving response of so many who knew Courtney, I was not able to sign the guestbook at the funeral, but please know that my thoughts and prayers are with your family.

In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.
