D. JACK BRENN, 80, passed away on Monday, Oct. 14, 2013. Born in Lyons, Ill., Jack was a district claims manager with Allstate Insurance for 30 years, retiring in 1992. He was a Korean War Air Force veteran. Jack volunteered for Hospice and was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan. Surviving are his sons, Lance (Sherry) Brenn, Jack Brenn Jr. and Ted (Patty) Brenn, all of Fort Wayne; sisters, Betty Bestler and Pat (Doug) Wander, both of Chicago, Ill., and Maryls Burdette of Nashville, Tenn.; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Dick Brenn; and sister, Delores Grimm. Service is 2 p.m. Friday at D.O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road, with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
