DALLAS E. DODANE, 77, of Woodburn, died Saturday, July 28, 2012 at Parkview Hospital - Randallia, Fort Wayne. Born in rural Allen County, Indiana, he was the son of the late Elmer and Minerva Dodane. He attended the First Christian Church, Kendallville and was a long- time member of the Southwest Conservation Club. He was also a lifetime member of the N. R. A. He retired in 1997 from the Zollner Corporation as a machinist/mold maker after 40 years of service. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Cari; children, Dawn (Bob) Rosier of Woodburn, Tara (Jason) Meagher of Fort Myers, Fla., Douglas (Kat) Dodane of Auburn, Robin (Daron) Aldrich of Indianapolis, Keith (Shirley) Kankovsky of Kendallville; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Andrea Nicole Dodane; and Helen Dodane. Funeral service is 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with Dr. Tom Clothier officiating. Visitation is 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 30, 2012 at the funeral home. Burial is in Prairie Grove Cemetery, Fort Wayne. In lieu of flowers, please remember Dallas with a contribution to the Southwest Conservation Club.
