Dear Mrs. Gemmer and Family,
I was so saddened to hear of Mr. Gemmer's passing. What great memories he left his students (at Flatrock in 7th & 8th grade for me and my friends). He was imaginative and funny and cutting edge in the classroom, and we will never forget him. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

To the Gemmer family,
I'm sorry to hear about your loss. You and your families will be in our prayers. I really enjoyed having your father as my Government class teacher (the Current Events game was a blast). He was the best teacher to have. He wanted to make sure the students REALLY understood the subject matter. He was a GREAT Teacher at CLHS. Class of '80

Mr. Gemmer was one of my favorite teachers at Concordia. I was fortunate to have his class first hour, senior year, Government. He was very patient with my tendency to sleep in and arrive a bit late. He related to all of us as one of us and had a great enthusiasm for teaching. He will be missed! Hugs to you, Mrs. Gemmer.

Mr. Gemmer will always be remembered by those of us who were fortunate enough to be taught by him. We learned so much, not just about the subject, but about being good people. He will be greatly missed.

Mrs. Gemmer,
I am so sorry to here about your loss. Mr. Gemmer was a great man, and taught many. He was my favorite teacher, and was always up for a good debate. I was sad to here he had retired, as I know there were many kids who could have learned from his knowledge and witty tactics. Our hearts and prayers go out to you and yours.

Dear Mrs. Gemmer,
I don't know if you remember me, but Mr. Henke used to talk about Dave when I had him as a teacher in grade school. That was my first knowledge of him. He came to CLHS after I had graduated, but he was there when my kids were in high school during the 80's and 90's. Sorry to hear about his death. We are losing a lot of people from that era lately. We know he is secure in heaven, joining Neil Reincke and Gene Burger. God's blessings!
