DORIS JEAN HECK

DORIS JEAN (REBERT) HECK,91, formerly of Springfield, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, April 25, 2010, in LaPorte, Ind. Born April 8, 1919, in Springfield, she was the daughter of Roger H. and B. Esther (Laybourne) Rebert. She was a member of Faith In Christ Lutheran Church, the Theta Rho Sigma Sorority since 1944, the Mary Circle and the Loyal Flowers of Christ at her church. She had been employed for 28 years as a Chief Supervisor at the Clark County Department of Human Services. Survivors include her daughter with whom she resided, Beth E. (Heck) Murray; three grandsons, James D. (Dan) Zeilbeck, Jeffrey A. Zeilbeck and Andrew T. (Joy) Zeilbeck; one great-grand-daughter, Zoe; two brothers, Roger (Anna Lou) Rebert and Donald Rebert; very special friend, Clara Belle Haynes; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman D. (Bud) Heck on July 19, 1950; a brother, Edward Rebert; and has parents. Funeral service is 2 p.m. Friday at Faith In Christ Lutheran Church, with visitation one hour prior to the services. Pastor Jeffrey Lee officiating.
