EDWARD J. HOCHSTETLER, 71, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012, at his home. Born Jan. 12, 1941, in Hicksville, Ohio, he was the son of the late Ervin and Lizzie (Mullett) Hochstetler. On March 31, 1962, he was united in marriage with Doris Jean Miller; she preceded him in death on Nov. 23, 2005. He was a life long farmer and a dry wall hanger. He was a member of Hicksville Christian Fellowship. In 1985, he became an ordained minister, serving his congregation for 25 years. He is survived by two sons, Brad (Grace) of New Haven and Barry (Karen) of Hicksville; four daughters, Brenda (Don) Witmer of Leo, Bonnie (Jeff) Martin of Hicksville, Beverly (Mark) Webb of Aroda, Va., and Bethanie (Jadon) Yoder of Hicksville; 30 grandchildren; three brothers, Lonnie (Shirley) of Shipshewana, Ind., Willard (Janetta) and William (Leora), both of Hicksville; and three sisters, Mary (LaVern) Lengacher of Jamestown, Pa., Sara (Harry) Bender of Hicksville and Ada (Vern) Beachy of Leo. Funeral service is 2 p.m. Sunday at Hicksville Christian Fellowship Church, 3672 Buckskin Road, Hicksville, Ohio. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the church. Burial in Hicksville Christian Cemetery.
