EUGENE "GENE" R. YODER, 87, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012, at Provena Sacred Heart Home, Avilla. Born in Elkhart, Ind., he worked as a Staff Pharmacist with Parkview Hospital for 11 years, retiring in 1988. He was a member of Kane Lodge F&AM Elkhart, Scottish Rite Fort Wayne Valley, N.E. Allen County Pharmaceutical Association, and Leo United Methodist Church. He enjoyed fishing, leather tooling, and spending time with his family. He loved his family and cherished his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Surviving are his son, Craig A. (Deb) Yoder of Sioux Falls, S.D.; daughter, Gwen E. (Ronald) Leer of Kendallville; grandchildren, Kevin (Jamie) Leer, Kenneth (Jill) Leer, Kurtis (Ashley) Leer, and Deanna (Jacob) Yoder-Black; great-grandsons, Grant and Liam; and sister, Josephine "Jo" Billington of Elkart. He was preceded in death by parents, Joseph I. and Mildred E. Yoder; and wife, Beverly J. Yoder. Calling is from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012, at Provena Sacred Heart Home, 515 N.
