EUNICE CARPENTER, 90, of Fort Wayne, departed this life to be with her Lord on Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012. Born Feb. 24, 1922 in Dierks, Ark., she married Alan Sims Carpenter in 1946. They moved from Peru, Ind. to Fort Wayne in 1955. She worked at G. E., retiring in 1984. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church in Arkansas, American Legion 296 and the Moose. She loved cooking for her family, her flower gardens, feeding the birds, grocery shopping and country music. She is survived by her daughters, Sarita (John) Hensch of Fort Wayne and Debbie (Marty) Zimmerman of New Haven; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and brothers, Loy and Lloyd. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alan; parents, Olan and Eula May Westbrook; and sister, Gladys. Funeral service is 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012 at Mungovan & Sons Memorial Chapel, 2114 South Calhoun St. with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
