EVA I. "JEAN" SCHOREY, 70, of Auburn, died Friday, Feb. 8, 2013 at her daughter's home in Fort Wayne. Born Dec. 26, 1942 in Combs, Ky., she was the daughter of the late John J. and Amanda E. (Turner) McPherson. She retired from Garrett Flexible. Surviving are her sons, William (Karen) Gibson of Haynesville, La., and Mitchell A. Gibson of Edon, Ohio; daughters, Mary (Kurt) Kampman of Angola, and Karen (George) Brummett of Fort Wayne; stepsons, Michael A. Schorey, Jr. of Bluffton, Todd D. Schorey of Bluffton and Jeffrey W. Schorey of Fort Wayne; brothers, Christopher C. McPherson of Garrett, Joseph W. McPherson of Pleasant Lake and Andrew W. McPherson of Garrett; sisters, Velma Dell'Oro of North Haven, Conn., Missoura L. Warble of St. Joe, Betty R. Baker of Kendallville and Ruby C. Baker of Garrett; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard K. Schorey, Sr.; parents, John J. and Amanda E. (Turner) McPherson; stepson, Richard K. Schorey, Jr.; brothers, John R., Earl H., William and Thomas McPherson; sisters, Alice Klinger, Sarah McPherson, and Pearl H. McPherson; two grandsons. Funeral service is 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013 at Pinnington-McComb Funeral & Cremation Services, 502 N. Main Street, Auburn, with visitation one hour prior. Chaplain John Robinette officiating. Visitation also from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11, 2013 at the funeral home. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, Auburn. Memorials to Riley Children's Hospital or .
