EVERETT E. SIMPSON, 83, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013, in Fort Wayne with family by his side. Born in Fort Wayne, Everett served in the Army during the Korean War and retired from Tokheim. He was a member and adult Sunday school teacher of Harvest Freewill Baptist Church. He was a bowling enthusiast and avid fisherman. He loved playing with his guitar and singing at church and for family. He is survived by his son, Stephen Simpson of Belmond, Iowa; daughters, Kathy (Dan) Barnhart and Linda (Fred) Romines, both of Fort Wayne, and Cindy Adams of Sidney, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Barbara. Private services with D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave. Memorials to Habitat for Humanity.
