FRANK MAGNER JR., 90, of New Haven, died on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, 11:20 p.m., at his residence. Born Jan. 18, 1922, Fort Wayne, he was a son of the late Henry Frank Magner Sylvia Seitz (deceased). He serviced in the Army during World War II, 1st Armored Division - 16th Engineering Battalion Armored, 151st Airborn Tank, 748th Tank Battalion; and he was awarded two bronze stars. He married Luella Wilhelm on June 5, 1946; she passed away on Nov.18, 2011. He was a member of St. Louis Besancon Catholic Church. he maintained equipment at B.F. Goodrich, retiring in 1987 after 25 years of service. Surviving are his daughter, Colleen Fuellin of New Haven; sond, Jim (Joyce) Magner og Fort Wayne and Steve (Sue) Magner of New Haven; daughter, Carol (Dan) Barthold of Fort Wayne; son, Michael Magner of Fort Wayne; 14 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Barbara Lemons; one grandson, Kenneth Norton; four brothers; and one sister. Service is 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013, at the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel. Fr. Stephen Colchin officiating. Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Village of Heritage Nursing Center, Monroeville. Burial in Highland Park, Fort Wayne. Preferred memorials to the Wounded Warriors, Parkview Hospice, with Military graveside Honors by American Legion Post 43.
