FREDERICK WYSS, 86, passed away Friday, Nov. 23, 2012 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. He was born in Fort Wayne, and attended South Side H. S. and was a World War II Marine Corps Veteran. He worked as a Machinist with Container Corp. of America for 50 years before his retirement. He was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, bowling and his Sunday morning golf outings. Surviving are his son, David E. (Debra) Wyss of Fort Wayne; daughter, Ruth C. (David) Winkler of Eureka, Mo.; brother, Eugene Wyss of Fort Wayne; grandsons, Brian Winkler, Andrew (Farah) Winkler, Kevin (Kendra Lapp) Winkler; great-grandchildren, Will and Colton Winkler; and his dear friend and companion, Betty Wall of Fort Wayne. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick and Rose Wyss Sr.; loving wife, Doris J. Wyss; brothers, Gerald Wyss and Richard Wyss; sisters, Gertrude Sluterbeck, Marquerite Bates, and Dorothy Carr; grandson, D'Arcy Wyss. Service is 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012 at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave., with calling one hour prior. Pastor Steve Ensley officiating. Calling also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012 at the funeral home. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne. Memorials may be made to the Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
