GEORGE CLAYTON CARMER, 93, passed away Sunday, July 28, 2013 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. Born in Auburn, George delivered telegrams for Western Union after high school. He then served our country during World War II in the U.S. Navy and worked in Quality Assurance with Tokheim Corp. for 33 years, retiring in 1982. He was a member of Forest Park United Methodist Church, American Legion Post 47 and T. P. A. He enjoyed bowling and talking about history with family and friends. Surviving are his wife of over 66 years, Margaret A. Carmer; daughter, Brenda Richardson of Fort Wayne; son, Rev. Scott (Rev. Toni) Carmer of Warsaw; grandchildren, Daniel (Destiny) and Benjaman Richardson and Matt (Mackenzie), Christopher (Melanie) and Dominique Carmer; great-grandchildren, Ariel, Olivia and Skylar. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 2, 2013 at Forest Park United Methodist Church, 2100 Kentucky Ave., with calling one hour prior. Rev. Brenda Ginder officiating. Calling also from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 1, 2013 at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Chapel, 1140 Lake Ave. Fort Wayne. Burial in Roselawn Cemetery, Auburn, Ind.
