GERTRUDE F. FRIEDLINE, 94, passed away Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013 at Bethany Point Health Campus in Anderson. Born in Wilton Jct., Iowa, Gertrude worked with Fort Wayne National Bank for 11 years, retiring in 1984. She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church, Daughters of the Nile (Teti Sheri #60) and the American Legion and the Nightengales Home Ec Club. Surviving are her daughter, Carol A. (Tom) Whetsel of Pendleton, Ind.; grandchildren, Heather (Shawn) O'Connor and Holly (Chris) Elliott both of Lapel, Ind.; great-grandchildren, Killian and Keegan O'Connor; nieces, Jeannine Gerber, Kathleen Cleveland, Nancy Brown and June Gayle; nephews, Roger and David Schultz and Gene, Charles and Steve Blakey; and several great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernhard A. and Florence E. Schultz; husband, Robert F. Friedline; brothers, Elmer F. and Gerhard A. Schultz; sister, Florence D. Blakey; nephew, Gary Schultz. Funeral service is 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013 at D. O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road with calling one hour prior.
