Harry Coil Obituary

The following obituary is republishing with corrected information from family. HARRY H. COIL JR., 61, of Defiance, Ohio, died Sunday, Oct. 26, 2008, at his son's residence in New Haven. Born Aug. 4, 1947, in Paulding, Ohio, he was a foreman at General Motors, retiring in 2004. He served in the U.S. Navy in Vietnam and was a life member of V.F.W. Post 3360, Defiance, Ohio. Surviving are mother, LeAnna (Hildebrand) Coil of Hicksville, Ohio; one son, Alec (Kristal) Coil of New Haven; two daughters, LeAnna Coil of Defiance and Sannita Coil of Paulding; two brothers, Jim Coil of Convoy, Ohio and Russell (Nancy) Coil of Paulding; four sisters, Margaret "Peg" (David) Vaughn of Sherwood, Ohio, Carolyn (William) Wieland of Cecil, Ohio, Jane Ballow and Sue Coil, both of Hicksville; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Laurentina (Resendez) Coil; father, Harry H. Coil Sr.; son, Gustave Resendez Coil; one granddaughter; and one brother, Mark Coil. Funeral service is 1 p.m. Saturday at Mast-Mock-Hoffman-Hanenkrath-Clevenger-Schaffer Funeral Home, 529 Jefferson Ave., Defiance, Ohio, with visitation two hours prior. Memorials to donor's choice.
