HILDA GABET Obituary

HILDA M. GABET, 92, formerly of New Haven, died on Monday, Dec. 27, 2010, at Saint Anne Home, Fort Wayne. Born in rural Adams Township, Allen County, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Edith Becker. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, New Haven. She retired in 1984 from Anthony Wayne Bank after 15 years. She is survived by her sons, Stephen (Marcia) Gabet, Barbara Gabet, Gerald (Sally Rueda) Gabet Jr., Sharon (Tom) Atwell, Dr. Anne (Kevin Batt) Keuneke, Janet (Ron) Goodyear, Philip (Karen) Gabet, and Raymond (Elizabeth) Gabet,; sisters, Naomi Hathaway, Wilma Martin and Elna Szink; 15 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald, in 1994; son, William, in 1993; and brothers, Carl Becker, Elmer Becker and Ervin Becker. Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 30, 2010, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 943 Powers St., New Haven, with calling one hour prior to service time. Father James Seculoff officiating. Calling also from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven. Burial in the church cemetery.
