IOTA "OTIE" M. OPLIGER, 86, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Visiting Nurse Hospice Home in Fort Wayne. Born in Bargain-town, N.J., "Otie" worked as a Communications Director with Cancer Services of Allen County for two years, retiring in 1995. Surviving are her sons, Daniel H. (Sheri) Opliger, Glenn A. (Carol) Opliger both of Fort Wayne; daughters, Kathleen (Gary) Walker of Millersport, Ohio; Jane (John) Cotton of Fayette, Ala., Amy J. (Randall W.) Opliger Fritze of Angola, Ind., Marty K. Slain of Fort Wayne, Laura M. (Rick) Miller of Orlando, Fla.; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas C. and Emma Madge Price; her loving husband of 54 years, Howard A. Opliger; son, Michael Opliger; son-in-law, Mike Slain. Service is noon Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at Northeast Christian Church 4900 Stellhorn Rd., Fort Wayne, Ind. with calling two hours prior to service. Pastor Tony Opliger officiating.
