JACK C. SUMMITT, 77, passed away Saturday, July 14, 2012 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. Born in Detroit, Mich., he worked as a Tool and Die Maker and Fiberglass Engineer for General Motors for 24 years. He was a member of N.R.A., A.M.A., Moose Lodge, Legion Rider, Retired Michigan Nation Guardsman, Kalamazoo Armory Honor Guard and the National Corvette Club. Surviving are his wife, Carolyn Biggs-Summitt; son, Mark Summitt of Los Angeles Calif.; daughter, Monica Winget of Flint Mich.; step sons, Robert J. (Bok Sil) Biggs of Bristow, Va., James A. (Debra) Biggs of Grabill, Ind. and William E . (Cheryl) Biggs of Fort Wayne; step daughters, Darlene L. (Randy) Crytzer of Ashtabula, Ohio and Janice C. (Paul) Bondeson of Stuart, Fla. 14 grandchildren and 12 great -grandchildren; brother, George (Shirley) Summitt of Coldwater, Mich.; nephew, Scott Summitt of Quincy, Mich. and niece, Theresa (Dennis) Foote of Quincy, Mich. He was preceded in death by his parents, Steve and Gertrude Summitt. Memorial service is 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, 2012 at the Community of Christ Church, 186 W. State St. Coldwater, Mich. with calling two hours prior at the church. Burial in Fort Custer National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warriors Program or Donors Choice.
