JAMES "JIM" C. PERKINS, 70, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012, at his home. Born in Fort Wayne, he graduated from Central Catholic and served in the Marines. He was a second generation owner of Superior Machine & Tool Inc. He dedicated his life to his family and his work. He enjoyed boating, the stock market, and spending time in his lawn. "Jim loved his family and cherished his grandchildren." Surviving are his loving wife of 48 years, Cheryl Perkins of Fort Wayne; children, Kelly (Jeffrey) Wilson of Fishers and Michael (Jennifer) Perkins of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Jared, Justin, Jacob, Emma, and Allison; brother, David (Ginny) Perkins of Fort Wayne; and sister, Mary Ann (William) Roebel of Fort Wayne. He was preceded in death by parents, James O. and Rose Mary Perkins; and brothers, John Perkins and Joseph Perkins. Service is noon Monday, Dec. 17, 2012, at D.O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road, with calling one hour prior. Fr. Jacob Meyer officiating. Calling also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012, the funeral home. Entombment in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
