JAMES THOMAS KUGHLER, 61, of Knoxville, Tenn. and formerly of Fort Wayne, passed away Sunday, April 7, 2013 surrounded by his loved ones after a long battle with cancer. He was born in August of 1951 a son of Robert A. and Arline Kughler. Jim spent his life working in the graphic arts profession, first as an Art Director for Magnavox and Phillips Consumer Electronics, then as a Sales Representative and Director of Sales at Precision Litho for 17 years. He joined Media South, LLC for four years as Account Director before moving on to Hopps Communications and eventually ending his career as a partner/owner there, doing business as Infographics. Surviving are his wife, Marsha L. Kughler; son, Jason (Kristie) Kughler of Knoxville, Tenn.; mother, Arline Kughler of Fort Wayne; brother, Steve Kughler of Fort Wayne; uncle, Opal (Moe) Filler of Fort Wayne; nieces, Nan Hoover, Jackie Morris and their children all of Fort Wayne; aunt and uncle, Miriam and Delvin Sims of Dayton, Ohio; mother and father-in-law, JoAnna and W. Paul Hough; sister-in-law, Kate Stoneburner and family; brother-in-law, Tom Hough and family, all formerly of Fort Wayne; and many other family members and friends. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date in Knoxville, Tenn. Memorials to donors choice or to cancer research.
