KEITH R. DEETER, 77, passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2013. Born in Fort Wayne, Keith spent his career as a commercial electrician working for the IBEW Union Local 305 of Fort Wayne. He helped on many area schools and hospitals for many companies including Henry Electric of Angola and Central Electric of Fort Wayne. He was a U.S. Air Force and Air National Guard veteran. Keith enjoyed living, fishing and boating on Lake George for many years, and raising his family. He enjoyed woodworking and made many nice wood objects for his family. In his later years, he traveled with his wife, Barbara in their motor home with his beloved dog, Heidi. Surviving are his wife, Barbara Deeter of Fort Wayne; children, William E. (Sara) Deeter of Plymouth, Diana Butler of Coldwater, Mich. and Joe (Rhonda) Deeter of Fort Wayne; stepdaughters, Rebecca (Tom) Neuhaus of Fort Wayne and Pam (Scott) Kipfer of Spencerville; sister, Suzanne (Nyle) Pickett of Coldwater, Mich.; and grandchildren, Jordan, Alli and Austin Butler, Joey and Andrew Deeter, Josh and Jake Neuhaus, Katelyn and Kyle Daniels, and Taylor Kinley. He was preceded in death by his stepson, Brian Daniels; sister, Jeanette Brincefield; and former wife, Donna. Service is 10 a.m. Friday at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road, with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens.
