LAWRENCE J. HOFFMAN, 85, passed away Saturday, Aug. 3, 2013 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. Born in Columbus Grove, Ohio, Lawrence worked as a Tool and Die Maker with Dana for 30 years, retiring in 1986. He was a World War II Army Veteran and a member of Most Precious Blood Catholic Church. Surviving are his daughter, Anita L. (Michael) Fraley; sons, David G. (Diane) Hoffman, and Steven J. Hoffman, all of Fort Wayne; seven grandchildren, Crystal, Ryan, Brittany, Michael, Joshua, Brookelyn and Nicole; two great-grandchildren, Kailey and Landon. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rita Hoffman; parents, Joseph F. and Margaret M. (Carder) Hoffman; and sister, Margaret Ricker. Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2013 at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church, 1515 Barthold Street, with calling one hour prior. Father Joseph Gaughan officiating. Calling also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 5, 2013 at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, with a Rosary service at 6:30 p.m. Entombment in Catholic Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Masses or the Bell Choir.
