LEE E. BITTING, 72, of South Whitley, died Friday, July 30, 2004. He retired in 1991 from ITT A/CD in Fort Wayne as an electronics technician with 35 years of service. He was an active member of South Whitley United Methodist Church, Chain-O-Lakes Barbershop Chorus and Boy Scouts of America. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Eva Mae (Beard) Bitting; a son, Robin D. Bitting of Fort Wayne; two daughters, Renee D. Enyeart of South Whitley and Lisa M. (Tom) Porter of Larwill; four grandchildren; a brother, Dale Bitting of Bradenton, Fla.; and a sister, Jane Gradeless of Columbia City. Service is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at South Whitley United Methodist Church, with viewing one hour before the service. Visitation is also from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Smith and Sons Miller Chapel, South Whitley. Burial in South Whitley Cemetery. Memorials to South Whitley United Methodist Church.
