NORMA (SEIGEL) MUMY, 82, of Amarillo, Texas and formerly of Fort Wayne, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2013. She was born Feb. 9, 1931 in Louisville, Ky. a daughter of the late Charles and Dovie Seigel. She moved to Fort Wayne at the age of two. There, she married Charles R. "Bud" Mumy on Oct. 1, 1949. Together, they moved to Amarillo, Texas in 1966 where she worked at Levi Strauss for over 17 years. Norma then began her employment at Owens Corning where she worked as a line operator until her retirement in 1999. She was a talented seamstress and enjoyed frequent shopping trips to Kohls and Walmart. She also cherished the luncheons she shared with her friends from the VFW the first Wednesday of every month. Surviving are her children, Dawn (Joe) Garcia, Cheryl (Bobby) Stennett, Robert Mumy, Beverlee Mumy, Joni Mumy, and Randy Mumy all of Amarillo; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and a host of neices and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles R. "Bud" Mumy; four sisters; and two brothers. Funeral service is 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013 at Cox Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Dr., Amarillo, (TX 79109). Chaplain Ken Haney officiating. Burial in Llano Cemetery.
