PHILIP JOHN ANKENBRUCK, 50, of Fort Wayne, died peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, May 9, 2012, at home. Born July 12, 1961, in Fort Wayne, he was the son of John Victor and the late LaVerne (Alfoldy) Ankenbruck. He was a graduate of Snider High School and had lived all of his life in Fort Wayne and the surrounding area. He was known for his cooking and his involvement with his church and community. He is survived by his father, John V. Ankenbruck of Palisades Park, Mich.; five sisters, Lisa Ankenbruck of Palisades Park, Judy Ankenbruck of Fort Wayne, Anna Ankenbruck of San Antonio, Texas, Eve Finnessy of Granger, Ind., and Carrie Dohnal of Roselle, Ill.; Phil's partner, Ron Brinson of Fort Wayne; and seven nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial in 10 a.m. Saturday, May 12, 2012, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Community, 4120 S. Webster St., Fort Wayne, with visitation one hour prior to Mass. Father Michel Holland presiding. Visitation also from 4 to 7 p.m. today, May 11, 2012, at D.O.
