RELLA M. BAKER, 87, of Tipp City and New Carlisle, Ohio, formerly of Wells County, passed away on Monday, Jan. 14, 2013. Born Aug. 29, 1925, in Sullivan, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Marvin E. and Violet E. (Baker) Bennett. She worked as a homemaker. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, New Carlisle, Ohio and in Fort Wayne St. Therese Catholic Church, V.F.W. 1421 Auxiliary and sponsored Jr. Girls Auxiliray of the V.F.W. for a number of years. Surviving family include her children, Brenda (Robert) Neff of New Carlisle, Ohio, Sharon (Michael) Till of Tipp City, Ohio, Anna (Jim) Spalding of Ossian, Ind., and Mary Kracium of Centerville, Ohio; 16 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in passing by her husband, Dan Baker, in 1987; son, Robert D. Mercer; two grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, at St. Therese Catholic Church, 2304 Lower Huntington Road, Fort Wayne, with visitation one hour prior. Visitation also from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013, at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne, with rosary recited at 7:30 p.m. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
