ROBERT TAYLOR COWAN, 82, passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2014. Born in Sevier County, Tenn., Robert retired as co-owner of C&L Carpet Service. He was a 50 year member of St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church and a U.S. Army Korean War veteran. Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Irene Cowan of Fort Wayne; daughters, Peggy (Clark) Druesedow of Nashville, Tenn., Patty (Randy) Michael of Fort Wayne, Paula Staup of Indianapolis, and Susan Cowan of Avilla; son, Andy Cowan of Fort Wayne; sisters, Mary Kay Beck, and Nancy Shular; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church, 1502 E. Wallen Road, with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 E. Dupont Rd. with a vigil service at 3:30 p.m. Burial in Catholic Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the or Gibault Children's Services.
