Irene: You probably don't remember me, but we used to sing in the choir together at St. Vincent's back in the late 1980s. I'm very sorry to hear about the passing of your husband. May he rest in peace.

Dear Irene and family, Sincere sympathy on your loss. I am sure it was Bob who came to my rescue on a Sunday afternoon, replacing a matching piece of kitchen carpet, after my puppy (closed off in the kitchen while I was away) had shredded the carpet right in front of the closed door. It was a ball of frizz! Bob came over after my desperate call, and patched a piece in place that I had found in the closet. Msgr. John never knew, and, no surprise, never noticed the new piece of carpet amid the older and worn rest of the kitchen! Maybe Bob's passing will lead me to tell Msgr. John in the days ahead. LOL You'll be in my prayers in the days ahead and I'll always have a good and funny memory of how Bob saved the day!
