RONALD L. KELLEY, 78, of Hudson, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012, at his residence. Born Aug. 23, 1934, in Miles burg, Pa., he was a son of Guyer V. and Norma L. (Lambert) Kelley. He was a graduate of Bellefonte High School. He was a Fort Wayne Police officer who retired after 20 years of service. He also did FBI training. He was a member of the Auburn Moose; Auburn Elks; the Eagles in Garrett; Ashley Masonic Lodge Number 614; FOP of DeKalb County; V.F.W. of Garrett; and the Milesburg American Legion Post 893. He married Phyllis J. Gray on June 16, 1953. "He was a wonderful father, and had a love for cars." Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Phyllis J. Kelley of Hudson, Ind.; five daughters, Deborah (Ed) Quenichet of New Palestine, Ind., Terri (Tom) Lehman of Pinckney, Mich., Rhonda (Tom) VanKirk of Hudson, Ind., Beth Reicke (companion, Rick Tutwiler) of Fort Wayne, and Tamara (Steve) Terry of Kendallville, Ind.; a brother, Rodney Kelley (companion, Rich) of State College, Pa.; one sister, Patricia (Bob) Stauffer of Zion, Pa.; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one step-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a brother, Fredrick G. Kelley; and a granddaughter, Erica VanKirk. Funeral service is 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, at Helmer United Methodist Church, with visitation one hour prior. Pastor Donna Holcomb officiating. Visitation also from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday at the church, with a Masonic service at 7 p.m. Burial will follow service in Wright Cemetery.
