Dear Carrie,
My deepest condolences to you and your family. I am so sorry for your loss.
I fondly remember when you and Stan came to New York City to see the NY Yankees play. ( I think it was the NY Mets in 2000). I was happy to find out that there was another Yankee fan in the family. I remember walking around lower Manhattan and the World Trade Center Plaza and then going to a bar for a beer. It was a beautiful summer afternoon and a very warm memory of a really great guy.
Again, I am so sorry for your loss.

Dear Carrie--I went to high school with Stan also. I did not know him then well, but have been following Jennie's posts so feel like I know both of you now. It brings your own death so much closer to home when someone of your same age dies. My prayers are with you and your family and may your memories sustain you. God Bless. Vicki Harwood Bahls

Dear Carrie,
Stan and I met in chemistry class 101 at the PUIU campus in 1968, became good friends and even were roommates our senior year at Purdue. As you know we have been friends ever since. He introduced me to his boss and first job when I came home from the army. We were again roomies when we were transfered to Kansas City. We then worked together at a local nursery before Stan returned home to help his Dad with the farm. I am proud to claim Stan as my friend-in fact he was one of the nicest, kindest people I have ever known which is what drew me to him in the first place. His faith and family were always first in his life. Robin and I will miss him deeply and always remember his friendship and kind words. Carrie, may the Lord be with in these difficult times.
Love,

Norman and Robin

Carrie,
I was sad to see the obituary in the paper on Sunday. I guess it surprised me as the last time I inquired, I heard he was doing better. I cannot imagine how you must be feeling and know that God is with you through this difficult time. You will make it through with His help and the help of your wonderful family.

Love,
Joyce Kerns

Carrie,
I know we met but I think it has been many years ago. Stan was a great cousin and a wonderful person to know. He was there when my dad died and he visited him often while he was in the hospital. I came to see dad the day before he died and guess who was in the elevator on his way to visit with my dad? Yep, it was Stan. We talked for a while and I told him I was so glad he had a chance to see dad. But that was how Stan was - always caring for his uncles and aunts. I was very sorry to hear he had passed and was a little shocked because I thought he was doing better. My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family. My mom will be at the funeral and I told her to give ya'll a big hug and my condolences. He is definitely with Linnie now and in a better place. Take care and love always.

Carrie and family,

Chris and I join others in expressing our sympathy to you and our sorrow for the loss of a good man and cousin. We will always remember the wonderful family reunion you hosted and the bone-chilling boat ride Stan took us on; he and we loved it. We loved Stan's good spirit and fun-loving nature.

We may not be able to express our sorrow to you personally, but know that you are and will be in our prayers. God bless you as you recover from this loss.

Love,

Bob and Chris Hartman
