WAYNE WOODROW "JOE" DIBERT, 99, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012. Born in Ohio City, Ohio, he worked at General Electric for 34 years, retiring in 1975. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church ELCA; Maumee Lodge No. 725, F.&A.M.; Scottish Rite; Mizpah Shrine; the Eagles and Southwest Conservation Club. He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Margaret Catherine (Allen) Dibert; sons, Frederick (Marcy) Dibert of Fort Wayne and Terry (Pat) Dibert of Lauderdale by the Sea, Fla.; daughter, Janet (Todd) Stephenson of Fort Wayne; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great-granddaughters. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Bessie Dibert; brothers, Ernest, James, Sam and Richard; and sisters, Olive and Grace. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road, with calling one hour prior. The Rev. Judith Follis officiating. Calling also from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5, 2012, at the funeral home, with a Masonic service at 6:30 p.m. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens.
