ANITA M. SMITH, of Harlan, passed away on Sunday, April 1, 2012, after a brief illness while vacationing. She is survived by her husband, George; children, Jeffrey Cecil and Michele Cecil; stepson Jeffrey (Debra) Smith; two sisters, Janice (Joe) Rodocker and Marlene (Dwight) Steiner; brother, Rodney (Carrie) Hammon.; four grandchildren, Amber (Brian) Parana, Kenneth Miller, Jamie Hicks, and Anthony Smith; and two great-grandchildren, Levi and Everette. A viewing by family and friends was held in Naples, Fla. As per her wishes, she was laid to rest off the coast of Marco Island, her most favored place to spend her time. For those wishing to do so, memorials may be made to the Breast Cancer Society on her behalf.
