EUGENE "GENE" STIER, 66, of Fort Wayne, died on Wednesday, April 18, 2012, 2:21 p.m., at Lutheran Hospital. Born Feb. 22, 1946, in Fort Wayne, he was the son of the late Ray Stier and Viola (Bork). He was a service manager at Pepsi Cola with 40 years of service. "He was a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend." Surviving are his wife, Mary Elise (Graham) Stier of Fort Wayne; son, Aaron (Marci) Stier of Fort Wayne; daughter, Karen Stove of Fort Wayne; five grandchildren; sister, Sue Brockman of Fort Wayne; three brothers, David and Danny Stier, both of Fort Wayne and Jack Stier of Washington; and five half sisters, Twyla Whitesal, Linda Wilson, Theresa Lotts, Colleen Barva, and Alice Ann Barva. He was also preceded in death by five siblings, Donald, Tom, Jerry, Lois, and Jenny. Funeral service is 7 p.m. Monday at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, Winchester Road Chapel, 6424 Winchester Road. Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
