CYRIL J. SAUTER, 84, of Angola, died on Saturday, April 21, 2012, at his home. He retired from Auburn Gear. He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Angola and the Holy Name Society. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of the Angola Fire Department for 25 years. Born Dec. 22, 1927, in Adrian, Mich., he was the son of Edward G. and Mary M. (Schwab) Sauter. He is survived by his five sons, Lawrence E. (Marcia) Sauter of Huntington, Jerome C. Sauter and Gary L. (Pamela) Sauter, both of Fort Wayne, Eric S. (Angie) Sauter of Angola, and Kevin T. (Lisa) Sauter of Fort Wayne; one daughter, Sharon L. Sauter of Angola; three sisters; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers; and one sister. Funeral Mass is 11 a.m. Thursday, April 26, 2012, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Angola, with visitation from 9 to 11 a.m. Father Fred Pasche officiating.
