EDWARD C. CLAUSER, 82, of Columbia City, passed on Monday, April 23, 2012, at home. Born in Toledo, Ohio, he was the son of the late Clifford and Lillie Clauser. The Army veteran was a member of the American Legion Post 157 and 40 & 8. He retired from Kroger in 1987 as a truck driver after 37 years. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Patricia; children, Dan (Mari) Clauser, Peggy (Donald) Fogle and Connie (Kevin) Hapner, all of Fort Wayne; sister, Kathryn Clark of Warsaw; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Diane Fogwell; grandson, Curt Fogle; and brother, Clifford Jr. Funeral service is 2 p.m. Thursday, April 26, 2012, at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, with calling three hours prior.
